This role serves as a critical liaison between healthcare subject matter experts, product management, development, quality assurance, and integration teams. The primary focus is to translate complex healthcare workflows into clear, actionable software requirements that support the development and enhancement of healthcare IT solutions. The position demands a deep understanding of electronic health records (EHR), practice management systems (PMS), and revenue cycle management (RCM) processes to ensure seamless product delivery aligned with industry standards and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze EHR/PMS and end-to-end RCM workflows to identify requirements and process improvements.
- Prepare detailed documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Product Requirements Documents (PRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Define requirements for CMS-1500 and 837P/837I claim forms.
- Specify workflows related to 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and payment posting.
- Develop eligibility verification and claim status workflows for 270/271 and 276/277 transactions.
- Manage integration requirements with clearinghouses and payers to ensure smooth data exchange.
- Support HL7/FHIR standards and API integration efforts to enhance interoperability.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), workflow validation, and product testing phases.
- Collaborate closely with developers and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Act as Product Owner by managing the product backlog and prioritizing features and fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Healthcare IT Business Analysis or Product Management roles.
- Strong expertise in EHR, PMS, and RCM systems.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. medical billing processes and standards.
- Hands-on experience with EDI/X12 transactions.
- Proven experience with clearinghouse and payer system integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with software development teams in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ONC/Drummond certification or experience with certification testing processes.
- Familiarity with HL7 and FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange.
- Experience with healthcare APIs and integration technologies.
- Detailed knowledge of CMS-1500, 837, 835, 270/271, and 276/277 transaction sets.
- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and prior Product Owner responsibilities.
- Ability to review raw EDI files and interpret implementation guides.

This position is based in Johar Town, Lahore, and requires an in-person commitment. The expected working hours range from 20 to 30 hours per week, offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with on-site teams.
