Senior Internet Protocol Engineer

We are seeking experienced IP networking professionals to join a leading telecom organization that operates large-scale service provider networks. The ideal candidate will support advanced routing, switching, and Datacom environments, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the OSI reference model and master the fundamental principles of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
- Exhibit expertise in Ethernet, Layer 2 switching, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol, Bridge Domain, and VXLAN technologies.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of mainstream WAN links such as PPP and POS, including their operational modes and application scenarios.
- Master routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, and BGP, with a strong grasp of their advanced features, route import/export, route policies, and complex deployment scenarios.
- Understand MPLS technologies including L3VPN, VPLS, VLL, CCC L2VPN, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Multicast, and Quality of Service (QoS).
- Have familiarity with data center networking technologies such as MLAG, EVPN, and SRv6.
- Understand basic network management protocols, particularly SNMP, network management operating systems, and common database commands.
- Possess foundational knowledge of network security principles, including firewall operations, IPSEC, ACLs, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
- Understand high availability (HA) design concepts and technologies such as BFD, Graceful Restart (GR), Fast Reroute (FRR), and Forwarding Controller (FC).
- Be knowledgeable about the characteristics, performance metrics, card types, and common configurations of typical Datacom equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Nokia.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in telecom or service provider network operations.
- Strong understanding of Provider (P), Provider Edge (PE), and Route Reflector (RR) router architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Ethernet, VLANs, WAN links, and routing policy implementation.
- Familiarity with high availability solutions, network security practices, and network performance optimization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve complex network issues.
