We’re Hiring: Senior Java Engineers

Devinity is looking for experienced Java Engineers for a remote, flexible, contract-based opportunity.

Position: Senior Java Engineer Experience: Minimum 2 Years Work Type: Remote | Flexible | Contract-Based

Compensation: $1,500 USD per project per month, for each assigned client engagement that converts into a project

About the Role This is a highly client-facing role. You’ll independently join calls with prospective clients, understand their technical requirements, discuss system architecture and implementation approaches, and represent Devinity during technical interviews and evaluations.

You don’t need to leave your current job to get started. If you’re already working full-time, you can initially contribute around 1–2 hours per day, primarily for client calls . As you take on more projects, you can gradually increase your involvement.

Strong engineers may eventually manage multiple projects in parallel, potentially up to four, and build a small engineering team to handle project delivery.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of professional Java development experience
Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend development
Understanding of system architecture, databases, and software design principles
Excellent English communication and client-facing skills
Confidence in handling technical discussions and evaluations independently
Ability to represent Devinity professionally during client calls
