We are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer to join our team in developing a large-scale healthcare platform. This full-time, on-site position requires 3 to 7+ years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and building secure, scalable backend systems that support essential healthcare services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the healthcare industry. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, and remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Build RESTful APIs specifically designed for healthcare applications, ensuring they are efficient and reliable. Develop systems that are high-performing, scalable, and maintainable. Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2 and JWT, to protect sensitive healthcare data. Work extensively with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and integrate third-party services including Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and external APIs. Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to best practices. Collaborate effectively with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery. Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions to improve system design and performance.
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Java (version 8 or higher) and deep experience with the Spring Boot framework. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation. Proven experience in developing and consuming REST APIs using JSON and XML data formats. Knowledge of database design and management, including both SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. A good grasp of security best practices in software development, particularly in authentication and authorization mechanisms. Experience with version control systems like Git and working within continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working within healthcare systems or familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7 is highly desirable. Knowledge of event-driven architectures using messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ will be an advantage. Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration is preferred. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial. Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, including HIPAA or similar healthcare privacy standards, is a plus.
