Senior Linux & Network Administrator

We are currently seeking a Senior Linux and Network Administrator to take full ownership of our production Linux servers and network services, including maintenance, new deployments, incident management, and ongoing research.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the configuration and deployment of Linux network services, ensuring a reliable rollback strategy is in place.
- Take ownership of WireGuard, RADIUS (FreeRADIUS), LDAP, KanIDM, and Active Directory–style directory services, including management of groups, credentials, and replication processes.
- Design and implement Ansible playbooks for new hosts and services, while overseeing DNS, TLS, and firewall policies.
- Lead investigations into complex authentication, connectivity, or capacity issues when root causes are not immediately apparent.
- Maintain alerting systems, telemetry, and log/event review using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and syslog.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments across the server fleet and verify that remediation efforts are effective.
- Develop proofs of concept for new technologies or solutions, recommend those suitable for production, and ensure runbooks are accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Between 4 to 6 years of experience in Linux system administration and network operations, with demonstrated responsibility for production changes.
- Hands-on production experience with RADIUS and directory services such as KanIDM, LDAP, or Active Directory, along with expertise in WireGuard or similar VPN tunnel technologies.
- Strong skills in Ansible automation, monitoring systems, and vulnerability remediation on Linux servers.
