Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists handling a diverse portfolio of analytics projects that support business decision-making processes.
- Assist in the execution of tactical plans to implement data science strategies aimed at enhancing company performance and maintaining competitive advantage.
- Oversee comprehensive diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics efforts, developing alternative modeling approaches to improve analytical capabilities.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, document assumptions, address data gaps, and provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Ensure quality control and conduct risk assessments for methodologies, models, outputs, and processes involved in major data science projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes, structure analytic requests, and translate requirements into effective analytic solutions.
- Lead test design, research design, and model validation activities, offering statistical consultation and acting as an analytics expert on cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and manage vendor relationships related to big data analytics tools and platforms.
- Design data mining frameworks and statistical protocols to extract and monitor patterns within large datasets across multiple business domains.
- Apply advanced data science principles and machine learning techniques to develop models that support strategic initiatives in marketing, economics, and operations.
- Contribute to data-driven innovation by participating in scientific research projects aimed at expanding analytical capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in analytical roles with progressive leadership responsibilities in data science and large-scale analytics projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong expertise in data wrangling, big data technologies, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Hands-on experience with data science programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, and advanced analytics platforms.
