Senior Manager IT

We are seeking a seasoned IT Manager to lead and oversee the IT operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the IT department aligns with and supports the company’s strategic goals. This role involves managing IT staff, developing policies, maintaining infrastructure security, and driving continuous improvements in technology and processes. The IT Manager will also be tasked with budgeting, vendor management, and staying current with emerging technology trends to keep the organization competitive and secure.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct all IT operations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
- Manage the IT team by recruiting, training, coaching, setting clear job expectations, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Identify opportunities to upgrade and improve software systems and IT infrastructure.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the IT department’s budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and infrastructure while maintaining compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
- Supervise troubleshooting efforts, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery processes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Stay informed about current and emerging technology trends and advancements to guide strategic IT decisions.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar senior-level IT leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, and a wide range of software applications.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, emerging technologies, and IT strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that support business goals.
- Familiarity with data management, business process management, and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage personnel effectively, prioritize tasks, and oversee budgets.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT challenges.
- Experience in project management, including planning and executing IT projects successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in IT Management or relevant certifications such as PMP or ITIL are highly preferred.
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in IT management roles.
- Proven track record of leading large IT projects and managing IT operations within medium to large organizations.
- Proficiency in managing various IT platforms and tools.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity is advantageous.
