Senior Manager IT

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and oversee the IT operations within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the IT department aligns with and supports the overall business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can manage IT staff, develop policies, and maintain the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will stay informed about emerging technologies and continuously seek opportunities to improve systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct all IT operations to ensure departmental goals are met in line with organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and best practice guidelines to standardize processes across the organization.
- Manage the IT team by recruiting, training, coaching, setting clear job expectations, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Identify opportunities for software and system improvements and lead their implementation.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the IT department’s budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure the security of IT infrastructure, maintaining compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise troubleshooting efforts, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external IT vendors and service providers to support business needs.
- Keep abreast of current and emerging technology trends to drive innovation within the department.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar senior IT leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, and a wide range of software applications.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Familiarity with data management, business process management, and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Ability to effectively manage personnel, prioritize tasks, and oversee budgetary responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate the IT team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex IT challenges.
- Experience in project management and successful implementation of IT projects.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree in IT Management or relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) are highly preferred.
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading large IT projects.
- Experience managing IT operations within medium to large organizations is essential.
- Proficiency in managing various IT platforms and tools to support diverse business needs.
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
