We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to join our Trade Affirmations and Settlements team in Hyderabad. This team is responsible for the timely and accurate affirmation, confirmation, and settlement of trades across various asset classes, with a strong focus on OTC derivatives. The role involves close coordination with counterparties, prime brokers, custodians, and internal teams to ensure trade economics are verified, confirmations meet regulatory timelines, and cash settlements proceed without disruption.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team responsible for trade affirmation, confirmation matching, and settlement processing for OTC derivatives and other asset classes, ensuring compliance with ISDA confirmation timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Provide active oversight of daily operations, including escalation of aged affirmation or confirmation discrepancies and settlement breaks, troubleshooting, and setting performance goals.
- Oversee verification and validation of both paper and electronic trade confirmations, resolving trade economics discrepancies with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with investment managers, prime brokers, and administrators to resolve daily exceptions and drive strategic initiatives aimed at reducing recurring breaks and improving straight-through processing rates.
- Liaise with internal functions such as pricing, middle office, and collateral management to address discrepancies and respond to queries.
- Partner with technology teams to specify and test system and process improvements, supporting automation initiatives across affirmation and settlement workflows.
- Lead onboarding of new client engagements onto affirmation and settlement workflows, managing process design, testing, and issue resolution to ensure smooth go-live and stable operations.
- Maintain and enhance controls, procedures, and best practices within the affirmation and settlement function, including audit support.
- Manage global regulatory and market changes impacting trade affirmations and settlements—such as settlement cycle compression (T+1), LIBOR transition, and CSDR implementation—ensuring operational readiness.
- Mentor and develop a team of analysts and managers, building depth and capability within the function.

Required Qualifications:
- MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 9 to 12 years of experience in trade affirmations, confirmations, and settlements, with significant exposure to OTC derivatives across asset classes.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISDA trade confirmation processes, trade lifecycle, and pre- and post-settlement procedures for OTC derivatives.
- Strong domain and finance knowledge with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage high-performing teams effectively.
- Proven drive to improve process efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
