SENIOR MANAGER S&OP & PLANNING EXCELLENCE

Our client, a prominent organization in the textile industry, is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as a Senior Manager for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Planning Excellence. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and facilitating the enterprise-wide S&OP process while leading planning excellence across demand, supply, MRP, fabric, and garment planning functions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for integrating functional plans into actionable, decision-ready scenarios, establishing standardized planning governance, and ensuring that decisions translate into effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and lead the end-to-end S&OP cadence, including Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-S&OP, and Executive S&OP meetings, managing calendars, inputs, participants, and decision rights.
- Integrate demand forecasts, capacity constraints, material availability, inventory levels, service commitments, and financial implications into clear scenarios and actionable recommendations.
- Maintain an approved constrained plan along with a decision log, action tracker, and escalation records to ensure accountability and follow-through.
- Establish and enforce common planning policies such as planning horizons, freeze windows, tolerance limits, change control procedures, role definitions, and hand-offs.
- Document, standardize, and continuously improve planning processes, assess compliance, and address any structural gaps.
- Define and manage the enterprise planning performance framework, including KPI ownership, root cause analysis routines, and corrective action plans.
- Assess the planning maturity and capability gaps within the organization and coordinate targeted learning, coaching, and role development initiatives.
- Oversee the planning improvement portfolio, track sustained benefits, and lead the S&OP and Planning Excellence team to drive operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in S&OP, demand or supply planning, planning excellence, operations planning, or supply chain transformation.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or enterprise process leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of S&OP design, governance, meeting cadence, inputs, outputs, and decision rights.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply and capacity planning, MRP, inventory management, and scenario evaluation.
- Familiarity with financial integration aspects such as revenue, margin, working capital, cost, and capacity investments.
- In-depth knowledge of planning horizons, freeze policies, change control, exception governance, and process standardization.
- Experience with planning KPIs, maturity assessments, capability frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of planning systems, data governance, analytics, and automation tools.
- Strong skills in executive facilitation, structured problem-solving, financial acumen, and change leadership.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- An MBA or recognized qualification in S&OP or planning is advantageous.
- Experience in the textile or apparel industry is preferred but not mandatory.
