Senior Manager - Sustainable Finance & Product Development

The role involves supporting the development, implementation, and enhancement of sustainable finance products and green banking initiatives within UBL. This position requires close collaboration with business units, risk management, and support functions to embed sustainability principles into the Bank’s products and services. The objective is to ensure alignment with UBL’s sustainability strategy, comply with regulatory requirements, and adhere to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, structure, and launch green and transition finance products that meet market and regulatory standards.
- Oversee operations and maintain the Bank’s Sustainable Finance Framework, ensuring compliance with regional mandates and evolving guidelines.
- Collaborate extensively with various business units including Corporate, SME, and Retail banking, as well as Risk, Legal, Operations, Shariah boards, and Islamic banking teams across all operational regions.
- Work closely with front-line Relationship Managers across different geographies to identify and develop green business opportunities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the uptake, volume, and environmental/social impact of green assets within regional portfolios for both internal management and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and deliver practical toolkits, guidance documents, and training programs aimed at front-line sales, credit, and risk teams across all regional branches to promote consistent adoption of sustainable finance practices.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in banking, with a minimum of 5 years focused on sustainable finance, product development, corporate banking, ESG, or structured finance.
