Senior Manager Technology - Integration Support (Mashreq Global Network Pakistan)

We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in IBM API Connect and system administration to support critical production issues and provide domain knowledge in managing API environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, deployment, and ongoing administration of IBM API Connect across both cloud and on-premises virtual machines. This role demands a proactive approach to monitoring system health, ensuring API performance and availability, and leading incident resolution efforts when necessary. The candidate will also be involved in analyzing logs, managing backups, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and configuring security settings to maintain a robust and secure API management environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, deploy, administer, and monitor IBM API Connect in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Monitor the health and performance of the IBM API Connect platform to ensure high availability of APIs.
- Lead or participate in incident resolution calls to assist with root cause analysis and timely issue resolution.
- Analyze system logs to identify and troubleshoot problems within the IBM API Connect environment.
- Configure and manage backup and restoration processes for IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data.
- Maintain and enhance the CI/CD pipeline for efficient API building and deployment.
- Manage API lifecycle through the API Management Portal across multiple API catalogs.
- Perform consumer maintenance activities, including user, group, role creation, and security configurations.
- Customize the IBM API Connect Developer Portal using administrative menus, Drupal themes, and content updates.
- Integrate third-party tools such as Elastic to capture analytics events for customer dashboards.
- Utilize advanced Splunk expertise for constructing search queries, monitoring, and setting up alerts for failures.
- Configure security features using TLS profiles and native OAuth2 mechanisms to ensure a secure operating environment.
- Apply product maintenance patches, interim releases, and upgrades as required.
- Provide technical architecture support, assist in discovery sessions, and respond to architecture, infrastructure, and security inquiries.
- Understand hardware specifications, networking requirements, and storage sizing relevant to IBM API Connect.
- Collaborate with IBM Technical Support and IBM Technical Sales to resolve issues and clarify technical questions.

Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in application domain support and system administration, specifically with IBM API Connect.
- Proven experience in installation, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of IBM API Connect in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong ability to monitor system health and lead incident resolution efforts.
- Proficiency in log analysis and troubleshooting within the IBM API Connect environment.
- Experience managing backup and restoration of IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data.
- Skilled in maintaining CI/CD pipelines for API deployment.
- Familiarity with API lifecycle management using the API Management Portal.
- Experience in consumer maintenance including user, group, role management, and security configurations.
- Ability to customize and maintain the IBM API Connect Developer Portal, including Drupal theme adjustments.
- Knowledge of integrating analytics tools such as Elastic and expertise in Splunk for advanced monitoring and alerting.
- Strong understanding of security configuration using TLS and OAuth2 protocols.
- Experience applying product patches, releases, and upgrades.
- Ability to support technical architecture and infrastructure discussions.
- Solid understanding of hardware, networking, and storage requirements for API management solutions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience interacting with IBM Technical Support and Sales teams.
- Capability to manage all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, testing, and support.
