Senior Manager Technology - Integration Support (Mashreq Global Network Pakistan)

This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in system administration and the ability to support critical production issues related to IBM API Connect environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing both cloud-based and on-premises deployments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security of APIs. The position demands hands-on experience with installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, along with strong collaboration skills to work with technical teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, deploy, administer, and monitor IBM API Connect on cloud platforms and on-premises virtual machines.
- Continuously monitor the health and performance of the IBM API Connect environment to ensure API availability.
- Lead or participate in incident resolution calls to assist with root cause analysis and timely problem resolution.
- Analyze system logs to identify and troubleshoot issues within the IBM API Connect infrastructure.
- Configure and manage backup and restoration processes for IBM API Connect subsystems and configuration data.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying APIs within IBM API Connect.
- Manage the API lifecycle using the API Management Portal across multiple API catalogs.
- Handle consumer maintenance tasks such as creating users, groups, roles, and managing security configurations.
- Modify the IBM API Connect Developer Portal via administrative menus, including Drupal theme adjustments and content updates.
- Integrate third-party tools like Elastic to capture analytics events for customer dashboards.
- Utilize Splunk for advanced search queries, monitoring, and setting up alerts for system failures.
- Configure security settings using TLS profiles and native OAuth2 mechanisms to maintain a secure operating environment.
- Apply product maintenance patches, interim releases, and upgrades as necessary to keep the system up to date.
- Provide technical architecture support, participate in discovery sessions, and assist architects or team leads with infrastructure and security-related queries.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hardware specifications, networking requirements, and storage sizing relevant to IBM API Connect.
- Liaise with IBM Technical Support and Sales teams to resolve issues and clarify product-related questions.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of experience in application domain support, specifically with IBM API Connect.
- Proven expertise in installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and monitoring of IBM API Connect in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills including log analysis and incident management.
- Experience managing backup and restoration of API Connect subsystems and configuration data.
- Proficiency in maintaining CI/CD pipelines for API deployment.
- Hands-on experience with API lifecycle management and consumer security administration.
- Familiarity with IBM API Connect Developer Portal customization and Drupal theming.
- Knowledge of integrating analytics tools such as Elastic and expertise in Splunk for monitoring and alerting.
- Solid understanding of security protocols including TLS and OAuth2.
- Ability to apply patches, upgrades, and product maintenance efficiently.
- Good understanding of hardware, networking, and storage considerations for API Connect environments.
- Effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience interacting with IBM Technical Support and Sales teams.
- Ability to manage all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, testing, and support.
