We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust and secure Microsoft environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure components, ensuring seamless integration and high availability. This role requires expertise in identity management, security protocols, automation, and collaboration tools within the Microsoft ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive infrastructure strategy and deliver scalable, resilient solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Microsoft infrastructure components including Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, Exchange (on-premises and hybrid), and Microsoft 365 (M365) services.
- Manage hybrid identity solutions and secure access protocols such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Conditional Access policies to protect organizational resources.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize the Microsoft Defender suite, including Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI), Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) to enhance security posture.
- Automate routine infrastructure tasks and workflows using PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure high availability and implement disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure services to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Lead initiatives focused on infrastructure security and compliance, aligning with industry standards and organizational policies.
- Integrate on-premises systems with cloud platforms to enable seamless and secure hybrid operations.
- Provide ongoing support for enterprise collaboration tools within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.
- Advise and collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure strategy, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and managing Microsoft infrastructure environments, including AD, Entra ID, Exchange (on-premises and hybrid), and M365.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management technologies such as MFA, SSO, and Conditional Access.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Microsoft Defender security solutions (MDI, MDO, MDE).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Solid understanding of high availability architectures and disaster recovery planning for enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead security and compliance initiatives within an IT infrastructure context.
- Experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud services to support hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools and their administration.
