Senior Mechanical Engineer

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, is seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer for full-time, on-site engagement in Karachi. As a sister company of IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd., MEP Solutions is committed to delivering high-quality construction projects and is looking for an experienced professional to join their team and contribute to the successful execution of ongoing projects at Port Qasim, Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from initial conception through to completion, ensuring all deliverables are scheduled and costs accurately estimated.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all contractual performance conditions are met.
- Manage mechanical system requirements, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations within building projects.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project specifications and standards are upheld.
- Conduct regular site visits during various project phases such as bid walks, preconstruction assessments, progress inspections, punch list reviews, and project closeouts. Attend status and coordination meetings to maintain clear communication among stakeholders.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process to maintain a safe work environment and ensure tools and equipment are functioning properly.
- Maintain and update Statements of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documentation while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other disruptions to minimize impact on project timelines.

Required Qualifications:
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience managing new construction and remodeling projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and project scheduling techniques.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong focus on quality control.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction site safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The position is based at Port Qasim, Karachi, requiring the candidate to be available for on-site responsibilities.
