Senior Merchandiser

Cotton Tex Pvt. Ltd., established in 2001, is a reputable textile manufacturer and exporter specializing in terry towels, bathrobes, and kitchen items in waffle and terry ranges. We are seeking a Senior Merchandiser to join our team in Karachi on a full-time, on-site basis. This role involves managing the entire merchandising process from buyer inquiries to order shipment, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and maintaining strong relationships with international clients.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Merchandiser will oversee the end-to-end merchandising cycle, including responding to buyer inquiries, developing product concepts, coordinating sample production, and managing order execution from confirmation through shipment. Daily tasks involve maintaining close communication with international buyers, negotiating prices and contract terms, tracking production schedules, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivery deadlines. The role requires collaboration with production, quality assurance, logistics, and finance teams to resolve issues, optimize profit margins, and drive continuous improvement in product lines such as terry towels, bathrobes, and kitchen textiles. Additionally, the Senior Merchandiser will analyze market trends, support sales and marketing initiatives, and prepare regular reports on order status, performance metrics, and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with buyers and internal teams. Proven sales and retail experience is essential for managing orders, negotiating terms, and understanding market and buyer demands. Marketing skills are necessary to assist with product positioning, promotional efforts, and market research within the textile industry. Candidates should have relevant merchandising experience, preferably in textiles, home textiles, or related product categories. Strong analytical and negotiation abilities are required, with keen attention to pricing, costing, and order management details. Proficiency in MS Office applications and comfort with email and online communication tools are expected. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in textiles, business, marketing, or a related field is required.
