Senior MERN Stack Developer

Cyngro Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer with deep expertise in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. This role involves designing robust backend architectures and implementing microservices-based solutions. Strong technical leadership, problem-solving abilities, and mentoring skills are essential to ensure code quality, performance, security, and maintainability across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Build high-performance server-side rendered (SSR), statically generated (SSG), and modern web applications leveraging Next.js.
- Develop secure, modular, and scalable backend services and RESTful APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
- Design and maintain microservices-based architectures focusing on modularity, scalability, fault isolation, and maintainability.
- Implement service-to-service communication through REST APIs, messaging queues, or event-driven patterns as appropriate.
- Optimize database schemas, queries, indexes, and data-access patterns for both relational and non-relational databases.
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture and technology decisions.
- Apply software design principles and established design patterns to create maintainable and reusable solutions.
- Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control (RBAC), and secure API integrations.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security across frontend and backend components.
- Ensure code quality by conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and maintaining automated testing and documentation.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, supporting their technical growth.
- Work with DevOps teams to support containerization, CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, production bugs, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development workflows and product quality.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Extensive hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
- Solid backend development expertise in Node.js and NestJS.
- Proven experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs; GraphQL knowledge is a plus.
- Practical experience with microservices architecture, service decomposition, inter-service communication, and distributed system concepts.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, session management, JWT, OAuth, or similar security mechanisms.
- Deep knowledge of web security principles, input validation, error handling, and secure API development.
- Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using relevant tools.
- Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and collaborative code-review workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong skills in application performance optimization, scalability, maintainable architecture, and debugging.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, take technical ownership, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or AWS messaging services.
- Familiarity with Redis, caching strategies, background jobs, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of observability tools, centralized logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures, serverless technologies, or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of database transactions, concurrency, consistency, and distributed-system reliability patterns.
- Experience implementing rate limiting, API versioning, retry mechanisms, and fault-tolerance strategies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with international clients.
- Previous experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Wapda Town, Lahore. The working hours are from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The monthly salary range is Rs100,000 to Rs250,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
