Senior Middleware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Services Engineer with extensive experience in Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and DevOps methodologies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing, migrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise application platforms. This position demands a strong focus on security, performance, scalability, and reliability while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions. The role is based onsite in Karachi on a one-year contract and requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Oracle WebLogic Server domains, clusters, managed servers, Node Manager, JMS, JDBC, and security settings.
- Lead technical implementation, migration, health checks, upgrades, and provide ongoing operational support for enterprise application platforms.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), handling networking, ingress, storage, namespaces, RBAC, secrets, and workload scaling.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, configuration automation, and monitoring solutions.
- Troubleshoot middleware, application, Kubernetes, networking, performance, and availability issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including networking, IAM, compute, load balancing, monitoring, and security.
- Develop automation scripts using Linux shell scripting, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, implementation guides, operational runbooks, and service reports.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, project managers, technical support teams, and internal specialists to deliver successful technical outcomes.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for platform improvements while adhering to security and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in middleware administration, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or production operations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle WebLogic Server administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes deployment and management; familiarity with Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and OCI is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of Linux administration, shell scripting, Bash, and Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Working knowledge of OCI services, including networking, IAM, compute, load balancing, observability, and security.
- Understanding of application performance, high availability, system reliability, and production support.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers and technical teams, with professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Certifications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, WebLogic, or DevOps are highly desirable.
- Experience supporting enterprise Java applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware, SOA Suite, or Oracle database-connected applications.
- Prior experience providing technical services and support to international customers.

This role offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 400,000 to Rs. 500,000. The position requires working onsite in Karachi, providing a dynamic environment to apply your expertise in advanced enterprise technologies.
