Senior Mobile App Developer – React Native / AI-Enabled Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile App Developer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in building polished, scalable, and production-ready mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing high-quality, modern mobile apps from concept through to production and has personally managed the entire process of publishing applications on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This role requires expertise beyond prototypes or basic CRUD apps, focusing on sophisticated consumer-facing applications with excellent UI/UX, real-time features, audio processing, AI integrations, subscriptions, analytics, and scalable backend services.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Build smooth, responsive, and visually polished interfaces from Figma or other design specifications.
- Architect reusable, scalable, and maintainable mobile application code.
- Implement authentication, onboarding flows, personalized user experiences, and user profiles.
- Build audio recording, playback, and microphone-based functionality.
- Integrate speech-to-text, AI/LLM APIs, and intelligent feedback systems.
- Work with APIs analyzing user-generated text, voice, or behavioral data.
- Develop dashboards, progress tracking, scoring systems, charts, and user analytics.
- Implement timers, countdowns, recording sessions, and activity-based user flows.
- Integrate push notifications and other device-level features.
- Implement secure subscription and in-app purchase systems for both iOS and Android.
- Integrate backend APIs, databases, and cloud services.
- Optimize application performance, caching, state management, and error handling.
- Test applications across various devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.
- Manage production builds, certificates, signing, provisioning profiles, and release configurations.
- Personally handle Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console submissions.
- Resolve App Store/Play Store review issues, rejected builds, and release-related problems.
- Maintain applications post-launch, including bug fixes, upgrades, and OS compatibility updates.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional mobile application development experience.
- Strong commercial experience with React Native.
- Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience building and releasing multiple production-grade mobile applications.
- A portfolio demonstrating high-quality mobile applications personally developed.
- Proven experience personally publishing applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of React Native application architecture.
- Experience with modern state management solutions such as TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or equivalents.
- Skilled in integrating REST APIs and asynchronous services.
- Experience with authentication systems like Supabase, Firebase, Auth0, or equivalents.
- Familiarity with relational or cloud databases.
- Strong knowledge of native iOS and Android permissions and device APIs.
- Experience implementing microphone and audio recording functionality.
- Experience working with speech recognition, transcription, or audio-processing APIs.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar.
- Experience implementing AI-generated structured feedback and scoring workflows.
- Experience building subscription-based applications and integrating Apple In-App Purchases and Google Play Billing.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms and event tracking.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Candidates must have personally handled mobile application deployment, including managing iOS certificates, provisioning profiles, App Store Connect, Apple Developer accounts, bundle identifiers, TestFlight, App Store review and release processes, Android signing keys, Google Play Console, testing tracks, versioning, and store compliance. Experience limited to providing builds for submission by others will not be considered sufficient.

We are looking for a developer who takes full ownership of their work, translates product requirements into technically sound solutions, writes clean and maintainable code, pays close attention to UI and UX details, understands the difference between prototypes and production-ready applications, identifies technical risks early, communicates clearly about timelines and blockers, works independently, and can take a mobile product from development through to successful production release.

Applicants should provide links to 3 to 5 mobile applications they have personally worked on, including Apple App Store and/or Google Play links, with clear explanations of their roles and responsibilities. Confirmation of personal submission of these apps to both stores is required. Experience with AI, voice/audio, speech recognition, subscriptions, analytics, or personalized mobile experiences should also be detailed. Applications without live app examples or demonstrable production experience may not be considered.
