Senior Mobile Product Designer (Growth & Gamification)

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join an early-stage North American consumer startup focused on creating a hyperlocal social app that transforms everyday dog walks into real-world friendships and meetups. Based in Islamabad, this full-time, on-site role involves owning the user flows, onboarding, and UI/UX design of the mobile app using Figma and AI tools. You will lead the growth and gamification design, including rewards, streaks, and progress features that encourage users to get outside and engage with their community. Success is measured by repeat real-world walks, and your designs will directly influence how people spend their days. The position offers a flexible shift with regular overlap during US Pacific afternoon hours and is expected to start around mid-November 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive user journeys and detailed screen lists from product requirements to guide engineers and AI build tools accurately.
- Define the entire user path from installation through first walk, meetup, upgrade, and referral, assigning named events for tracking.
- Design onboarding experiences tailored for both waitlisted and live neighborhoods, clearly demonstrating the app’s value before asking for commitment.
- Create a fully detailed live map interface covering all states to help users find walks and neighbors without future redesign needs.
- Own the design of rewards, streaks, progress systems, local groups, and referral loops that motivate users to build real friendships outdoors.
- Design the paid-tier upgrade experience to feel earned and fair, encouraging user conversion.
- Plan and execute experiments testing onboarding flows, upgrade placements, referrals, and reminders, evaluating success by repeat real-world walks and discontinuing ineffective features.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing consumer mobile app flows and onboarding processes, with the ability to map every screen and state clearly for build teams.
- Strong understanding of reward systems and loops that encourage user retention and promote healthy, real-world habits.
- Daily use of AI design tools to enhance productivity, with a critical eye to maintain high-quality outputs.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and reliable availability for daily team check-ins.
