Senior Network Engineer

A confidential organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Islamabad on a full-time, on-site basis. Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and associated hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance, promptly identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
- Configure and optimize network security controls, manage network access, and enforce best practices to safeguard systems and data.
- Collaborate closely with other IT teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain accurate records.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and technical staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Network Engineering and Network Design, with proven experience in planning, deploying, and optimizing complex network architectures.
- Proficiency in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and related infrastructure components.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to efficiently diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues.
- Solid knowledge of Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security policy implementation.
- Experience with TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, VLANs, QoS, and enterprise-level LAN/WAN environments.
- Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar platforms.
- Relevant professional certifications like CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent credentials are highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior colleagues.
