Senior Network Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer with at least five years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and security. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco and Huawei networking equipment, along with extensive experience managing and troubleshooting Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls. This role focuses on designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure high availability and robust security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco and Huawei routers, switches, and wireless solutions.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls to maintain network security.
- Design and implement network security policies, including VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and segmentation strategies.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security incidents to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct firewall rule reviews, security audits, vulnerability assessments, and coordinate remediation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across multiple locations efficiently.
- Collaborate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams for infrastructure upgrades and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network administration and network security.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco and Huawei networking equipment.
- Strong expertise in managing Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Firepower/ASA Firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching, VLANs, STP, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with firewall policy management, IPS/IDS, NAT, SSL VPN, and site-to-site VPN configurations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex network issues.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools to maintain network health and security.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.
- PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) certification is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
- Ability to work independently on critical infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience managing enterprise or multi-site networks is highly preferred.
