Key Responsibilities
The Senior Network Security Engineer, based full-time on-site in Lahore, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures. This includes managing firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other critical security controls. Daily duties involve monitoring network security events, conducting risk assessments, responding to security incidents, and overseeing vulnerability management and remediation efforts. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to define security requirements, document network configurations, and develop policies and standards that comply with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, the Senior Network Security Engineer will mentor junior team members, lead security projects, and recommend improvements to enhance overall network performance and resilience.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in network engineering and administration, including routing, switching, and troubleshooting complex infrastructures. Advanced skills in network security and cybersecurity are essential, covering firewall management, intrusion detection and prevention, VPN configuration, and secure network design. A solid understanding of information security principles is required, including familiarity with security frameworks, policies, risk management, and compliance standards. Experience with enterprise-grade networking and security tools such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and SIEM platforms is necessary, along with proficiency in operating systems like Linux/Unix and Windows Server. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams are critical. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
