The Senior Officer – Retail plays a crucial role in driving the organization’s retail fundraising efforts and enhancing donor engagement within designated areas. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring various retail fundraising activities aimed at expanding the individual donor base. The role involves building and nurturing strong relationships with retail markets, traders, and wholesalers to support fundraising goals. The Senior Officer ensures the effective implementation of fundraising initiatives through both established and innovative channels, contributing significantly to the organization’s resource mobilization and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement retail fundraising strategies to increase individual donor contributions and overall fundraising revenue.
- Identify and engage with retail markets, traders, and wholesalers to cultivate long-term partnerships that support fundraising objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor fundraising campaigns and events within assigned areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain regular communication with donors and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and encourage continued support.
- Track and analyze fundraising performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate retail fundraising efforts with broader organizational campaigns and outreach programs.
- Innovate and explore new fundraising channels and methods to diversify income streams and enhance donor engagement.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and ethical standards throughout all fundraising activities.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates for senior management on progress, challenges, and outcomes of retail fundraising efforts.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in retail fundraising, donor engagement, or a similar role within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor management, and relationship cultivation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to monitor fundraising performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to ethical fundraising practices and organizational values.
