Senior Oracle Database Engineer (Exadata & ExaCC)

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to join our expanding Oracle Practice team. As one of the oldest Oracle partners in Pakistan, we pride ourselves on delivering world-class managed services and expert consulting to enterprise clients. This role offers a unique blend of traditional core infrastructure administration and modern cloud operations, making it ideal for an experienced Oracle DBA. You will be responsible for managing critical business systems, including both on-premises Exadata racks and Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) platforms, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage physical Exadata infrastructure encompassing compute, storage, and networking components, along with handling ExaCC environments through the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Console.
- Execute quarterly patching cycles, performing manual updates on on-premises systems and coordinating automated updates on ExaCC cloud platforms.
- Maintain high-availability database architectures using Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Multitenant features.
- Implement and maintain robust backup strategies utilizing RMAN and OCI Object Storage, and configure Disaster Recovery solutions through Oracle Data Guard.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between enterprise clients and Oracle Support, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 8 years of experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing physical Oracle Exadata machines.
- Proficiency in navigating the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) dashboard and using cloud management tools such as dbaascli.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database versions 19c and 23c, Grid Infrastructure, and Linux troubleshooting skills.
- Strong client-facing and consultative abilities with excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
