Everyday Dose is seeking a Senior Performance Creative Editor on a contract basis to join our remote team, working from Europe or Latin America. We specialize in selling mushroom coffee directly to consumers, relying heavily on paid ads through Meta and Google to drive growth. The creative content is crucial to our success, and we focus on continuous testing and data-driven feedback rather than subjective opinions. As a Senior Performance Creative Editor, you will be responsible for executing the creative vision, particularly crafting the critical first five seconds of each ad. You will produce 15 to 25 polished ads monthly, prioritizing quality and learning over quantity.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut paid ads for Meta and Google based on scripts and angles provided by our creative strategists. Ads are vertical, sound-on, short, and fast-paced.
- Own the hook: while the script is provided, you decide the first five seconds, applying proven techniques learned from our data to optimize engagement and performance.
- Focus on iterating and improving winning ads rather than creating new concepts from scratch, as refining proven content yields better results.
- Build purposeful variants by changing one element at a time to generate meaningful insights, avoiding redundant or ineffective tests.
- Analyze your own performance metrics using our creative analytics and attribution tools, bringing insights to weekly creative reviews proactively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience editing paid ads that have run on live accounts; emphasis on what you have shipped rather than job titles.
- Demonstrated ability to influence performance metrics on specific creative pieces, showing measurable improvement in spend efficiency or acquisition cost.
- Deep understanding of which metrics truly matter in paid ads (e.g., spend and acquisition cost in the first week) versus misleading engagement metrics.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for content generation (image/video creation, voice, upscaling, captioning) to maintain high output without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
- Expert-level skills in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects or CapCut, including sound editing capabilities.
- Strong English communication skills sufficient to debate creative decisions with media buyers.
- Reliable personal equipment, stable internet connection, and a quiet workspace for calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supplements, wellness, beverage, beauty, or DTC subscription industries, especially with regulated claims language.
- Familiarity with various direct response ad formats such as offer-led creative, objection handling, confession openers, and talking-head styles.
- Knowledge of creative analytics platforms like Motion, Triple Whale, or Northbeam.
- Experience editing creator and UGC footage, including improving raw or mediocre material to perform effectively.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation ranging from $3,500 to $5,000 USD per month, based on experience and portfolio quality.
- Contract engagement with ongoing monthly invoicing.
- Fully remote work with flexible hours, requiring 2-3 hours daily overlap with Austin, Texas (Central Time) for collaboration and reviews.
- Full-time commitment expected; this role is not suitable as a side project alongside multiple clients.
- Software licenses (Adobe CC, Motion, Frame.io) and all necessary footage and assets provided; equipment is your responsibility.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and any local registration related to your location.
Candidates whose portfolios primarily consist of corporate videos, brand films, weddings, documentaries, broadcast, music videos, or other non-direct response content are unlikely to be a good fit. We require editors who have worked on paid ads where media was actively purchased and performance metrics were tracked. Please focus your application on your direct response experience and measurable results rather than repeating this job description.
