Senior PHP Developer

We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with over five years of experience, particularly with the latest versions of PHP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and managing RESTful API services and possess solid expertise in MySQL query optimization. Familiarity with server environments such as Apache, Nginx, and PHP-FPM is essential. Experience with Symfony and cloud platforms like AWS is considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize PHP-based web applications using modern frameworks, primarily Laravel.
- Design and manage RESTful API services to ensure seamless integration across multiple systems.
- Optimize MySQL queries to improve application performance and scalability.
- Work with server tools including Apache, Nginx, and PHP-FPM to deploy and maintain applications.
- Implement user authentication and authorization mechanisms across various servers and environments.
- Integrate multiple data sources and databases into unified systems.
- Create and maintain database schemas that effectively represent and support business processes.
- Apply knowledge of PHP’s synchronous behavior and MVC design patterns to build robust applications.
- Identify and mitigate common PHP and web server security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with front-end developers by understanding basic front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Address platform limitations of PHP and implement appropriate workarounds.
- Ensure applications are designed with scalability and maintainability in mind.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with PHP, especially with the latest versions.
- Strong proficiency in PHP web frameworks, particularly Laravel.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Experience with RESTful API development and management.
- Good knowledge of MySQL query optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with server tools such as Apache, Nginx, and PHP-FPM.
- Understanding of MVC design patterns and synchronous behavior of PHP.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Awareness of common PHP/web server exploits and their mitigation strategies.
