- Translate complex healthcare and business needs into clear user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready user interfaces.
- Collaborate with clinicians and Product Managers to thoroughly understand user challenges before developing solutions.
- Work closely with Engineering teams throughout the design and implementation phases to ensure alignment.
- Utilize and contribute to the PsychPlus Figma Design System when creating new features.
- Develop scalable components, variants, states, and interaction patterns, avoiding one-off solutions.
- Ensure consistency between Figma components and the Engineering team’s React component library.
- Make informed decisions about reusing, extending, or creating new components based on product needs.
- Design and document all relevant UI states, including loading, empty, error, disabled, hover, focus, success, and permission-based conditions.
- Consider the impact of component changes on other PsychPlus products and workflows.
- Create responsive designs suitable for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Apply WCAG accessibility principles to all designs and reusable components.
- Maintain clear and thorough design documentation and source-of-truth flows to support Product and Engineering teams.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Review implemented features and collaborate with Engineering to address any discrepancies between design and production.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Design or UX/UI Design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing work on complex products and workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variants, properties, variables, libraries, and prototyping.
- Solid understanding of design systems and component-driven design methodologies.
- Experience working with or contributing to mature design systems.
- Knowledge of how design systems translate into front-end component libraries, particularly React.
- Strong foundation in UX principles such as user flows, information architecture, interaction design, usability, and responsive design.
- Experience designing complex forms, tables, dashboards, workflows, and information-rich interfaces.
- Deep understanding of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
- Ability to anticipate edge cases and accommodate different user roles, permissions, states, and scenarios.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers within an Agile development environment.
- Skilled at articulating and defending design decisions based on user needs, product context, data, and technical constraints.
