Senior Product Designer (Mobile App, Growth)

Located in Islamabad, this full-time, on-site position offers a flexible shift schedule coordinated to ensure regular live overlap with the client team during the US Pacific afternoon. The company emphasizes leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and skill growth on impactful projects. This role involves joining an early-stage North American consumer startup focused on a hyperlocal social app designed to transform everyday dog walks into real-world friendships and meetups. As a Senior Product Designer, you will own the user flows, onboarding experience, and UI/UX of the mobile app, working primarily in Figma alongside AI tools. You will also lead the design of growth and gamification features such as rewards, streaks, and progress indicators that encourage users to engage with the app and their communities in meaningful ways.

Your work will focus on creating a user experience that motivates people to get outside, walk their dogs, and connect with neighbors rather than simply consuming content on their phones. You will map the entire user journey—from initial app launch through onboarding, first walk, first meetup, and subscription upgrade—while designing key features like the live map and growth loops. Success will be measured by repeat real-world walks, and your designs will guide engineers and AI tools in building the product.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate product requirements into comprehensive user journeys and detailed screen lists for launch, ensuring clear guidance for engineers and AI build tools.
- Define each step from app install to first walk, meetup, upgrade, and referral, assigning named events for effective tracking.
- Design onboarding flows tailored for neighborhoods on waitlists and those already live, clearly demonstrating the app’s value before user commitment.
- Develop the live map experience, covering all possible states to prevent future redesigns.
- Own the reward system, streaks, progress tracking, local group features, and referral loops, ensuring each element encourages outdoor activity and real friendships.
- Design the paid-tier upgrade experience to feel earned and fair.
- Implement and analyze experiments on onboarding, upgrade prompts, referrals, and reminders, using repeat real-world walks as the key success metric and discontinuing ineffective features.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience designing consumer mobile app flows and onboarding processes, with the ability to map every screen and state to eliminate ambiguity for build teams.
- Expertise in creating reward loops, streaks, and progress systems that foster healthy, real-world habits.
- Proficiency in using AI tools to accelerate design work while maintaining high quality through careful review and refinement.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with dependable availability for daily team check-ins.
