Our client, a leading online news publishing company headquartered in Denmark, is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join their growing technology team. This is a full-time, fully remote position with working hours from 12 PM to 8 PM Pakistan Time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, particularly with Python and MongoDB, and will be responsible for independently managing projects from start to finish. This role plays a vital part in building scalable, high-performance systems that serve millions of daily readers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and MongoDB. Develop efficient APIs and integrations to enhance the functionality of the news publishing platform. Optimize database performance while ensuring data integrity across multiple systems. Work closely with editorial and product teams to implement new features that improve user experience. Manage development projects independently with minimal supervision. Maintain best practices related to code quality, security, and system performance. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Python Developer is essential. Strong hands-on expertise with MongoDB is required. Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django is expected. Experience with API integration and working with third-party services is necessary. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or similar environments is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to take full ownership of projects and deliver results independently. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities are critical for success in this role.
