Senior Python Developer

Devsinc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer with a strong background in backend development, API integrations, and system design. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional experience in Python backend development, preferably gained after graduation. This role involves building scalable, high-performance applications and requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong technical expertise, and effective communication skills in English. The position is client-facing, demanding technical ownership, collaboration with stakeholders, and delivering quality solutions in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Python.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services utilizing frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Collaborate directly with international clients to gather business requirements, lead technical discussions, propose solutions, and provide regular project updates.
- Translate complex business needs into scalable, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, development planning, and key technical decisions.
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases to ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate third-party APIs, cloud services, and external systems to meet business and application requirements.
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code, conduct code reviews, and enforce software engineering best practices.
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and actively participate in Agile development processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of professional experience in Python backend development, preferably post-graduation.
- Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI, including RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of system design, software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, along with familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching technologies like MongoDB and Redis.
- Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), version control tools like Git, containerization with Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, background task processing, and message queues.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, application security, and performance optimization.
- Strong English communication skills, capable of independently leading technical discussions with international clients.
- Excellent analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
- Experience in client-facing development, requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and delivering technical solutions in a services-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working with US-based or other international clients in software services or IT consulting companies.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and both high-level and low-level system design.
- Experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Generative AI, large language model (LLM) integrations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, or AI-powered applications.
- Proven ability to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical decision-making.
