Senior Python Developer

Devsinc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer with a strong background in backend development, API integrations, and system design. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of professional experience in Python backend development, preferably gained after graduation. This role demands expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications and the ability to work directly with international clients. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent English communication abilities, are essential. As a client-facing position, the role requires taking technical ownership, collaborating effectively with stakeholders, and delivering quality solutions in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Python.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services utilizing frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Collaborate directly with international clients to understand business requirements, lead technical discussions, propose solutions, and provide regular project updates.
- Translate complex business needs into scalable, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, development planning, and decision-making processes.
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases to ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate third-party APIs, cloud services, and external systems to meet business and application requirements.
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code; conduct code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices.
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and actively participate in Agile development methodologies.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in Python backend development, preferably post-graduation.
- Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI, including RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of system design, software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching technologies like MongoDB and Redis.
- Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, background task processing, and message queues.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, application security, and performance optimization.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions independently with international clients.
- Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving skills.
- Experience in client-facing development, requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and delivering technical solutions in a services-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working with US-based or international clients in a software services or IT consulting company.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and advanced system design.
- Familiarity with Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Generative AI, large language model (LLM) integrations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, or AI-powered applications.
- Experience mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to technical decision-making.
