We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team, bringing a strong background in both software testing and hardware integration. This role focuses on API testing and automation within environments that blend hardware and software components. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the FinTech industry or Point of Sale (POS) systems, with a deep understanding of how hardware affects software quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive API test suites using Postman and other automation tools. Create and execute detailed test plans that address both software functionality and hardware-software integration points. Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring quality issues are effectively managed. Develop automation frameworks to provide consistent and thorough test coverage across software releases. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand hardware specifications and their impact on testing strategies. Perform regression testing to confirm that new code changes do not negatively affect existing functionality. Validate system behavior across various hardware configurations and environments. Maintain thorough test documentation, including test cases, plans, and reports. Participate in requirement analysis to ensure testability and compliance with quality standards. Mentor junior QA engineers by sharing best practices and effective testing methodologies.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on API testing. Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar platforms. Experience with test automation frameworks and programming languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java. Strong understanding of the interaction between hardware and software components in integrated systems. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in FinTech, banking systems, or POS solutions is highly desirable. Knowledge of payment processing systems and associated security protocols will be an advantage. Familiarity with hardware testing methodologies and relevant tools is preferred. Experience with performance and security testing adds value. ISTQB certification or equivalent credentials are a plus. Exposure to mobile application testing is beneficial. Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
