Key Responsibilities
As a Senior QE Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Appium, along with programming languages like Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python. You will create reusable and scalable automation components to support diverse test scenarios. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with QA teams and stakeholders to define test strategies, scope, and objectives. You will translate manual test cases into automated scripts, execute these tests to validate software functionality, performance, and security, and integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like GitHub Actions. Additionally, you will report defects clearly and work alongside developers, product managers, and business teams to ensure alignment on testing goals.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must be fluent in English and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of seven years of relevant automation experience is required, with mandatory expertise in Playwright. Strong proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Appium is essential. You should be skilled in programming languages commonly used for automation, including Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) is necessary. Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured, cloud platforms such as Azure, and virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is expected. You should also be adept at writing SQL queries for database testing and familiar with mobile testing frameworks for iOS and Android. Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, cross-browser testing tools like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs, and penetration testing tools is a plus. Excellent communication skills are required to document test cases and report defects effectively. Candidates must be willing to work US hours.
