We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Controller (QC) to uphold and enhance quality standards for fabric garments, including wool coats, suits, blazers, and other tailored apparel. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of garment construction, stitching, measurements, fitting, and finishing. This role requires a keen eye for detail to identify, control, and prevent quality issues throughout the production process, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards before reaching the customer.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect finished garments such as wool coats, suits, blazers, trousers, and other fabric apparel to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify that garments meet approved measurements, specifications, and overall quality requirements.
- Examine fabric quality, stitching, fitting, lining, interlining, finishing, buttons, zippers, and the overall appearance of garments.
- Detect fabric defects, stitching faults, fitting discrepancies, and construction problems early in the production cycle.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Conduct final inspections and authorize garments for dispatch only after thorough quality checks.
- Work proactively to reduce customer complaints, returns, alterations, and product rejections by maintaining strict quality control.
- Maintain detailed quality inspection records and prepare comprehensive inspection reports.
- Suggest and implement improvements to prevent recurring quality issues and enhance overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in garment manufacturing and quality control, preferably with formalwear, tailored garments, or wool outerwear.
- Strong expertise in fabric quality assessment, particularly with wool garments, suits, blazers, and coats.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, stitching techniques, accurate measurements, fitting, and finishing processes.
- Proven ability to identify fabric defects, workmanship issues, and fitting problems effectively.
- Practical experience in stitching or tailoring is considered an advantage and will strengthen the candidate’s ability to assess quality.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a quality control professional who is passionate about garment excellence and committed to maintaining superior standards in tailored apparel. If you have the required experience and a meticulous approach to quality, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and product reliability.
