Department: Basic Sciences
Position: Lab Technologist

We are looking for qualified and competent Medical Laboratory Technologists to join our Basic Sciences department. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations, assisting faculty during practical sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring adherence to institutional and regulatory standards, including PM&DC guidelines. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members in conducting practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate medical students.
- Prepare laboratory equipment, specimens, reagents, and materials required for practical classes.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory materials in accordance with safety protocols.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, keep accurate records, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Support departmental compliance with PM&DC and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BS MLT) from a recognized institution.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills essential for effective laboratory support.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant laboratory experience will be considered an advantage.

Work Location:
Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry (LCMD), Karachi.
