SENIOR RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of a web portal project. The role involves end-to-end responsibilities including development, documentation, testing, and implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to discuss project timelines and ensure milestones are met, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, document, and implement web portal features using Ruby on Rails.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate project progress, timelines, and milestones.
- Own, deliver, and maintain production code and services, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Design and manage applications within a service-oriented architecture.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or PHP to enhance development processes.
- Work comfortably in Linux/Unix environments, using terminal shell commands as needed.
- Implement front-end technologies including JavaScript, CoffeeScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and Backbone.
- Use Git for version control to manage codebase and collaborate with team members effectively.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong development skills in at least one scripting language (Ruby, Python, PHP).
- Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in a dynamic environment.
- Experience owning and maintaining production-level code and services.
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments with basic terminal shell proficiency.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as CoffeeScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and Backbone.
- Strong SQL skills for database management and querying.
- Experience using Git for version control in at least one project.
- Any graduate degree is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience working with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture design and management.
