The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEO professional with a strong commercial mindset, capable of independently identifying opportunities, executing advanced optimisation strategies, and delivering measurable business results. The focus is on sustainable organic growth, prioritising qualified leads, conversions, and long-term revenue over vanity metrics.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Organic Growth: Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with Edmento’s business goals. Conduct advanced keyword research, search intent analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify content gaps and high-converting keywords. Build and manage a long-term SEO roadmap prioritising initiatives based on business impact.

Technical SEO & Website Optimisation: Perform detailed technical audits and implement improvements to website architecture, crawlability, indexing, canonicalisation, XML sitemaps, and structured data. Enhance Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, page speed, and overall site performance. Collaborate with developers to resolve technical issues affecting search visibility.

On-Page SEO & Content Strategy: Optimise landing pages, service pages, blog content, metadata, and internal linking structures. Develop SEO-driven content strategies focused on topical authority, user intent, and conversion potential. Work closely with content and marketing teams to align SEO efforts with brand messaging and business priorities. Continuously test and refine landing-page performance and organic conversion rates.

Off-Page SEO & Authority Building: Design and execute ethical link-building strategies. Identify digital PR, outreach, and partnership opportunities. Analyse competitor backlink profiles using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz to strengthen domain authority and brand credibility.

AI Search Optimisation (GEO & AEO): Create strategies to improve visibility on AI-powered search platforms such as Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Optimise content for Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO). Enhance entity recognition, structured data, and machine-readable website architecture. Monitor AI search developments and adjust strategies accordingly.

Analytics, Reporting & Conversion Optimisation: Use Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and other tools to monitor SEO performance. Track rankings, impressions, click-through rates, engagement, conversions, and technical health. Translate data into actionable insights and clear reports. Establish KPIs and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and reduce acquisition costs. Continuously test and refine SEO initiatives based on data.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate with content, marketing, product, and development teams. Communicate technical SEO concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Provide strategic SEO guidance across the organisation and mentor junior team members. Take ownership of project priorities, timelines, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Proven senior-level SEO experience, preferably within digital-first, education, or competitive service sectors. Demonstrable success in improving organic rankings, qualified traffic, and customer acquisition. Advanced hands-on proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console, and GA4. Strong technical SEO skills including website architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and Core Web Vitals. Extensive experience in keyword research, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and off-page SEO. Solid understanding of AI search optimisation, GEO, AEO, and emerging search technologies. Ability to independently diagnose issues, prioritise initiatives, and implement solutions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into measurable improvements. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms such as WordPress. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical findings to non-specialists. Experience collaborating across content, development, and marketing teams. Strong self-management and organisational skills in a fast-paced remote environment. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
