Senior Software Developer – BPS Tech Enterprises (Remote, Pakistan)

BPS Tech Enterprises, a Pakistan-based company supporting Snyder Tech USA, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our remote team. We are an AI-forward organization where artificial intelligence is integral to how we build, test, document, and review software. This role involves working on real client projects for U.S. businesses, collaborating closely with our U.S. team, and participating in technical discussions. The ideal candidate is an experienced developer who confidently directs AI coding agents daily, understands their limitations, and delivers high-quality, secure, and reliable software. Strong spoken and written English skills are essential to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end: clarify requirements, plan implementation, build using AI agents and manual coding, test thoroughly, and manage deployment.
- Work daily within the code repository alongside AI tools, providing context, breaking down tasks, and identifying errors such as invented APIs or missed edge cases before review.
- Review pull requests from both developers and AI agents, ensuring correctness, security, performance, maintainability, and valid test results.
- Debug issues across multiple layers including application, API, database, and deployment; document root causes and resolutions clearly.
- Write and maintain automated tests to verify work is complete and reliable.
- Keep technical decisions and setup documentation within the repository to facilitate continuity for future developers or AI agents.
- Participate in technical discussions with clients and the U.S. team, explaining options and tradeoffs clearly in English, providing honest estimates, and raising risks proactively.
- Mentor other developers on code quality and AI-assisted development practices.

Required Qualifications
- Excellent spoken and written English, capable of leading technical conversations with U.S. clients and colleagues without assistance.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to break down ambiguous problems into clear, manageable steps and make sound decisions when answers are not obvious.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, having picked up new languages, frameworks, and codebases and become productive in them.
- At least 10 years of professional software development experience, including production work on web applications, APIs, and databases.
- Daily hands-on experience building software with AI coding agents, with a focus on effectively directing and validating their output rather than familiarity with specific products.
- Strong judgment in code reviews, including for code not written by hand.
- Solid experience with Git, pull request workflows, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Availability for regular overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours to participate in team and client meetings.

Preferred Qualifications and Technologies
- Proficiency in TypeScript (React, TanStack Start, Angular), C#, and .NET, primarily deployed on Cloudflare Workers and Pages, with some use of Azure and Docker.
- Familiarity with Python for AI and data-related tasks.
- Experience with SQL and SurrealDB, along with a strong understanding of database concepts including relational, document, graph, key-value, and real-time models. Deep experience in multiple database types is a plus, though not required.
- AWS experience is welcomed but not essential.
- A formal degree is not required; practical skills and experience are prioritized.
