Senior Software Engineer — Full Stack

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over five years of professional experience to join our team in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. This full-time role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring presence in the office on Wednesdays and remote work for the remaining days. The position operates on US business hours, which corresponds to a night shift in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering principles, hands-on experience across multiple technologies, and the ability to take full ownership of projects from development through deployment. You will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable, scalable production applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications that meet business requirements.
- Take ownership of technical tasks and features, ensuring quality from development to deployment.
- Work with existing codebases to identify issues and implement improvements for better performance and reliability.
- Design and integrate APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and oversee production deployments, primarily using AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and performance issues efficiently.
- Participate in technical decision-making processes and contribute to improving development practices.
- Collaborate closely with other developers and provide guidance to junior team members when needed.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies based on evolving project needs.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in MySQL and relational database management.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular and/or Next.js.
- Backend development experience using Python.
- Solid knowledge of REST APIs and integration techniques.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience deploying and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Ionic framework and mobile application development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Exposure to additional cloud services or infrastructure management tools.
- Ability to work with multiple programming languages or frameworks is advantageous.
