Senior Software Engineer - AI/ML

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML and Data Engineer who possesses strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with clients, understanding their complex requirements, and driving opportunities to successful closure. This role requires a blend of hands-on engineering capabilities and strong business acumen, enabling the candidate to architect effective solutions, confidently present them, and convert prospects into projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML and data engineering solutions that meet client needs. Work hands-on with Python, SQL, machine learning models, data pipelines, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms to build robust systems. Develop innovative solutions leveraging Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), natural language processing (NLP), predictive analytics, and AI/ML frameworks.

Architect and implement data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data processing workflows. Evaluate technical requirements and recommend the most suitable architecture, tools, and technologies for each project. Engage directly with clients to understand their business and technical challenges, leading technical discovery calls, presentations, solution discussions, demos, and proof of concepts (POCs).

Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, project scopes, estimates, and statements of work (SOWs). Collaborate closely with Sales and leadership teams to identify, develop, and close new project opportunities. Address technical objections effectively and communicate complex solutions in a clear, business-oriented manner.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify opportunities for upselling and long-term engagements. Work in partnership with engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth project handover and successful execution.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Four to eight years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML, data engineering, data science, or a similar domain.

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential. Hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and generative AI technologies is required. Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents is highly desirable.

Solid knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data modeling, databases, and data warehousing concepts. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Proficiency with ML/AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or equivalents. Experience with APIs, microservices architecture, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment.

Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, performance optimization, and data security principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on technical capabilities are critical.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with proven client-facing experience. Ability to present, negotiate, and manage stakeholders effectively. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.

Proven track record of taking ownership of opportunities and driving them from discovery through to closure. Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders.
