Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

This full-time, permanent position based in Pakistan within the Products — Engineering department reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The role involves end-to-end ownership of full-stack feature delivery across 360factors’ enterprise GRC product suite, including Angular front-end, Java services, APIs, data, and testing. Responsibilities span multiple product lines and modules aligned with business priorities, alongside an ongoing platform migration. The ideal candidate is expected to be immediately productive, contributing from the first sprint, and will utilize AI agents to enhance delivery output while maintaining full accountability for shipped features.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete delivery lifecycle of assigned full-stack features, covering frontend, backend services, APIs, data management, and testing.
- Develop and operate AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring all AI-generated outputs undergo thorough review before release.
- Execute migration and integration tasks between platform generations without disrupting existing customer functionality.
- Manage triage and root cause analysis for customer-reported issues within assigned modules.
- Collaborate closely with product management, architecture, QA, and UX teams to define requirements and standards, documenting architecture and decisions as they emerge.

Required Qualifications
- Extensive backend experience with Java and Spring Boot (7+ years), including production ownership of Spring Boot 3.x services using Maven, REST, and Flyway; familiarity with legacy Java codebases is essential.
- Proficient in Angular and TypeScript, with recent experience delivering on current major versions using enterprise component libraries such as PrimeNG or AG Grid, and RxJS.
- Strong relational database skills, particularly with SQL Server or Azure SQL, including multi-tenant design, migrations, and query optimization; ability to adapt quickly to comparable RDBMS platforms.
- Experience with BPMN or workflow engines like Flowable, Camunda, or Activiti, or equivalent configuration-driven platform work.
- Skilled in building and operating AI agents across the SDLC, capable of writing precise, token-efficient prompts and rigorously reviewing AI outputs.
- Ability to quickly become productive in large, sparsely documented codebases by analyzing source code to understand intent and safely extend functionality.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Atlassian Jira platform customization and administration.
- Familiarity with Power BI/Microsoft Fabric datasets and embedded reporting.
- Knowledge of document collaboration protocols, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Background in legacy modernization delivery.
- Exposure to GRC, audit, or banking domains and awareness of SOC 2 compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields is required; equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
- Master’s degree or certifications in software engineering, AI/ML, or cloud architecture are advantageous but not mandatory.

This role involves significant migration and integration work as modules transition from legacy platforms on a fixed schedule. The architecture is being reconstructed from source code due to the departure of original authors, requiring the candidate to establish intent and document findings. Modules operate within a host platform shell, sharing tenant context, permissions, and access control lists. The customer base includes regulated financial institutions, necessitating strict audit trails, access control, evidence integrity, and routine customer-specific customization.

Performance expectations include independently shipping production tickets within 30 days, delivering 95% of committed story points on schedule, maintaining a defect escape rate below 5% per release, and triaging customer issues within four hours. Integrity, accountability, openness to new technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and clear communication across teams are essential. The ability to reverse-engineer poorly documented product areas using source code analysis and AI tools is critical. Dependability, self-motivation, and sound judgment in ambiguous situations are highly valued.
