Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with over 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years specializing in Pega development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale Pega applications using Pega Infinity and Constellation. This role involves driving solution design, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and providing technical leadership within the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Pega applications encompassing Case Types, Workflows, SLAs, Approvals, Notifications, Correspondence, reusable components, Parent-Child Cases, Parallel and Asynchronous Processing, and Enterprise Case Management solutions.
- Utilize Pega Platform tools such as App Studio, Dev Studio, Case Management features, including Stages, Processes, Assignments, Flow Actions, Work Queues, Routing, Case Locking, Attachments, and Notifications.
- Apply hands-on experience with Constellation architecture, including Views, Partial Views, Complex Views, Conditional Visibility, Case Tabs, Portals, Navigation, Landing Pages, Data Relationships, UX Configuration, Traditional UI Migration, and debugging.
- Develop and integrate using DX API, Case APIs, Assignment APIs, Data APIs, HATEOAS, OAuth 2.0, REST Services, and tools like Postman. Work with React, Angular, Constellation SDK, PCore, PConnect, and Custom UI Integrations.
- Implement AI and GenAI capabilities such as Pega GenAI, GenAI Connect, Prompt Engineering, LLM Integration, AI Summarization, Classification, Information Extraction, AI Recommendations, AI Governance, Security, Responsible AI practices, and Human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Leverage Agentic AI for AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, AI Task Execution, Decision Support, Orchestration, Observability, Guardrails, and Escalation Frameworks.
- Design advanced rule types including Flows, Flow Actions, Stages, Assignments, SLAs, Approvals, Data Pages, Decision Tables, Decision Trees, When Rules, Validations, and Declare Rules.
- Architect integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Webhooks, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, IBM MQ, API Management, Database Integrations, File Processing, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Implement integration patterns such as synchronous/asynchronous communication, request-response, publish-subscribe, batch processing, retry mechanisms, dead letter queues, circuit breakers, correlation IDs, and timeout handling.
- Manage data architecture including Data Types, Data Pages, Data Views, Data Relationships, Reference and Master Data, Migration, Synchronization, Validation, Refresh Strategies, Caching, and performance optimization.
- Ensure security compliance with RBAC, ABAC, Access Groups, Roles, Privileges, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, Azure Entra ID, MFA, Encryption, Data Masking, PII/PHI protection, and API security.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting using PAL, Tracer, Clipboard, DB Trace, Performance Profiler, PDC, Alert Analysis, SQL Optimization, Integration Performance monitoring, Queue Processor oversight, DX API and Constellation debugging.
- Manage background processing with Queue Processors, Dedicated Queue Processors, Job Schedulers, Asynchronous Processing, Error Queues, Retry Strategies, Batch Processing, and legacy agent migration.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using Pega Deployment Manager, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, GitLab, automated deployments, code reviews, branching strategies, and rollbacks.
- Work with cloud technologies including Pega Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Monitor.
- Design application architecture with layering, framework and implementation applications, class structure, ruleset design and versioning, rule resolution, circumstancing, enterprise reuse, and component-based architecture.
- Implement advanced case management features such as Parent-Child Cases, Case Relationships, Split Joins, Spin-offs, Wait Shapes, Dependencies, Case Reopen, Resolution, Cancellation, Archival, Purging, SLA Escalation, and Locking Strategies.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers and system architects, conducting code and design reviews, preparing technical estimations, supporting solution and architecture design, and maintaining technical documentation and best practice assessments.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE), Technology (B.Tech), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
- Minimum of 3 years and up to 5 years of relevant experience in Pega development.
- Strong proficiency in Pega Infinity, Constellation, DX API, GenAI Connect, REST integrations, security, performance tuning, queue processors, cloud exposure, and technical leadership.
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (SSA/CSSA) certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
