Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable back-end and full-stack solutions that support AI-driven applications and cloud-native products. This full-time remote position involves architecting software systems, writing clean and efficient code, reviewing peer contributions, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of distributed applications. The engineer will work closely with product, design, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, integrate third-party services and APIs, and support continuous delivery practices. Additionally, mentoring junior engineers, contributing to technical standards, and participating in planning, estimation, and troubleshooting are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end and full-stack software solutions for AI-driven and cloud-native applications.
- Architect software systems with a focus on high performance, reliability, and security.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while conducting thorough code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and DevOps to deliver technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster technical growth and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of technical standards and best practices.
- Participate actively in technical planning, estimation, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proven experience in software development and programming with a track record of building production-grade systems.
- Hands-on expertise in back-end web development, particularly with RESTful services and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding and application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and an understanding of cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
- Background in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and capability to work efficiently in remote, cross-functional teams.
