Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable back-end and full-stack solutions that support AI-driven applications and cloud-native products for CloudGeniee’s clients. This full-time remote position involves architecting robust software systems, writing clean and efficient code, conducting code reviews, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of distributed applications. The engineer will work closely with product managers, designers, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, integrate third-party services and APIs, and support continuous delivery practices. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to technical standards and best practices, and engaging in technical planning, estimation, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end and full-stack software solutions.
- Architect software systems that power AI-driven and cloud-native applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while conducting thorough code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of distributed systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
- Participate in technical planning, estimation, and problem-solving efforts.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proven experience in software development and programming with production-grade systems.
- Hands-on expertise in back-end web development, including RESTful services and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding and application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including performance optimization techniques.
- Background in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools like Docker, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and capability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
