We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team in Karachi. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications to meet business requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Test applications rigorously to ensure quality, performance, and security compliance.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, sprint planning, and project meetings.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of existing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or PHP.
- Solid understanding of databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and software testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, Django, .NET, or Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization tools like Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
