Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive full-stack development experience to lead technical initiatives and promote engineering excellence across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have over five years of hands-on experience working with MERN/MEAN stacks, Node.js, and Python. This role requires a proven track record of leading development teams and delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of robust, scalable applications.
- Manage full-stack development using technologies such as React.js or Angular, Node.js, and Python.
- Mentor and guide a team of engineers, encouraging technical growth and collaboration.
- Make strategic technical decisions that align with the long-term product and platform vision.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and delivery timelines.
- Maintain high code quality through thorough code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
- Implement and promote engineering standards, tools, and frameworks to enhance team productivity.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security across all delivered solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on full-stack development.
- Expertise in MERN/MEAN stacks, Node.js, and Python.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, database design (including MongoDB, PostgreSQL), and system integration.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor software engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Background working in Agile/Scrum environments, with experience using tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications are considered a plus.

This is a full-time, in-person position located at PIA Main Boulevard, Lahore. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 12 PM to 9 PM, with one day per week offered as remote work. The starting salary is Rs150,000 per month.
