This position focuses on coordinating and facilitating agricultural cooperation projects within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The role requires close collaboration with public, private, and Chinese stakeholders to ensure projects are implemented efficiently and align with long-term strategic objectives. The incumbent will be actively involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial proposal development and feasibility studies to securing project approvals, all while ensuring compliance with bilateral agreements and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaise with public, private, and Chinese counterparts to support agricultural cooperation projects under CPEC, ensuring initiatives align with strategic plans and are prioritized for maximum impact.
- Facilitate and assist relevant line ministries at every stage of the project lifecycle, including preparing initial project investment proposals and conducting feasibility studies.
- Support the appointment and coordination of consultants or advisors needed for project preparation and feasibility assessments.
- Assist in the project approval process by providing expert advice on project structuring and appraisal, ensuring adherence to bilateral agreements between China and Pakistan, as well as Government of Pakistan regulations.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with agricultural cooperation projects to mitigate potential challenges.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports outlining the status and developments of ongoing projects.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Project Director to support the successful execution of agricultural cooperation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing or coordinating agriculture-related projects, preferably within international or bilateral cooperation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including proposal development, feasibility studies, and risk management.
- Familiarity with CPEC initiatives and the regulatory environment governing bilateral projects between China and Pakistan.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including government ministries and international partners.
- Ability to provide expert advice on project structuring and appraisal in line with governmental and bilateral requirements.
- Proficiency in preparing comprehensive progress reports and project documentation.
