This position involves coordinating with public, private, and Chinese stakeholders to support infrastructure projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative. The role focuses on managing project implementation in line with long-term strategic plans, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial investment proposals and feasibility studies to consultant appointments and project approvals. Additionally, the role includes identifying and managing risks, as well as preparing progress reports to monitor project development.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaise effectively with public, private, and Chinese counterparts to facilitate infrastructure-related CPEC projects, ensuring alignment with long-term planning and prioritization for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of the project lifecycle, including preparation of initial project investment proposals and feasibility studies.
- Support the appointment of consultants or advisors for project preparation and feasibility studies when required.
- Assist in the approval process of projects by offering expert advice on project structuring and appraisal, ensuring compliance with bilateral agreements between China and Pakistan and the Government of Pakistan’s rules and regulations.
- Identify and manage risks associated with infrastructure projects to mitigate potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed progress reports on infrastructure projects to monitor and communicate status updates.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Project Director (PD).

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing or coordinating infrastructure projects, preferably within the context of international or bilateral initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including investment proposal preparation, feasibility studies, and consultant engagement.
- Familiarity with government regulations and bilateral agreements related to infrastructure development, especially those involving China-Pakistan cooperation.
- Ability to effectively liaise and communicate with diverse stakeholders, including public and private sector representatives.
- Competence in risk assessment and management related to large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills to prepare comprehensive progress updates.
