Senior / Supervising Associate - Markets Operations Business Development - MENA Tax & Law

Based in Karachi, this permanent position offers a competitive salary and an exciting opportunity to join EY’s Clients & Industries (C&I) team, focusing on MENA Tax & Law. As a Senior/Supervising Associate in Markets Operations and Business Development, you will work closely with senior MENA Tax leadership to support strategic priorities aimed at driving growth. The role requires collaboration across teams, accounts, and geographies to improve pipeline management, execute market initiatives, support key accounts, and enhance operational processes through the use of data, AI, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the MENA Tax Leader and Tax COO in implementing market-focused priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Drive growth across priority tax solutions and key business areas.
- Assist with go-to-market initiatives related to tax policy, sustainability, and emerging technologies to help teams deliver relevant client solutions.
- Manage sales pipeline activities by ensuring accurate recording, maintenance, and monitoring of opportunities within CRM Dynamics.
- Coordinate and support the deal review process, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective engagement with stakeholders.
- Provide account-focused support to priority accounts, high-growth sectors, and strategic targets through internal account planning, client forums, and conferences.
- Collaborate regionally by supporting campaigns, promoting best practices, and working with teams across MENA and the broader EMEIA region.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor guidance materials and resources for client-facing teams, while supporting internal learning initiatives and conferences.
- Prepare and present status updates, business performance insights, and initiative reports to MENA Tax leadership.
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, Microsoft Copilot, and automation to enhance current and future processes.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- 4-6 years of experience in business development, markets, sales operations, account management, pursuit management, or related commercial functions.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and account information through CRM platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficiency in preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, and leadership updates.
- Experience working in regional, matrixed, or professional services environments.
- Interest in tax market trends, emerging technologies, sustainability, and business transformation themes.
- Practical experience using data, AI, or automation to enhance reporting, decision-making, or operational processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
